Exposure

A part of learning about exposure is learning to record the types of light to go with the theme of your photos. The sun is can be used at different times of day but the midday sun on a sunny day can be pointless to capture a photo or scene you want to take.

When the sun is closer to the horizon is brings the natural light to improve better and have a more productive shooting of the place or animal.

Another is shooting with the sun behind you and use the front light. It is recommended when you want to portray saturated color, contrast between different colors and fine details in all parts of the scene.

Photos that are taken of different exposures and placed beside each other.

Yellowstone

These photos was taken in Yellowstone National Park, by the Yellowstone lake in one of the thermal locations. It shows how the different colors the ground has changed from the site and how the sulfur affected different areas then others by the colors.  You can see across the lake to the other side how calm the water is compared to what is happening at the location I was at.
I used my Samsung phone to capture the scene, Aperture was F1.9, the focus length was 4.30 mm, ISO 40, Exposure time was 1/1488 s

Geysers that are under the water that can either be active or not. The picture is taken at an angle to get the idea of how close they are to the surface but are still dormant for the time being. The water near the geyser openings is calm but further out the waves are more active.
